Local Closures

• Primrose Drive in Luling will be closed between St. Nicholas Street and St. John Street on Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3 from 7 AM – 4 PM each day while the contractor continues work on the Primrose Canal Project. Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass.

• Bayer will be performing work on their overhead pipe racks that run across River Road in Luling near dock #4. Advised they will use a man lift for this work and will have one lane shut down on River Road in Luling directly above the pipes. Flagmen will be used to direct traffic. The dates for this work are Saturday June 29^th and Sunday June 30^th from 6am-3: 30pm, and Saturday July 6^th and Sunday July 7^th from 6am-3:30pm.

• Railroad Drive in Killona will be closed to through traffic from Killona Drive to LA-3141 starting on Monday, 7/8/2024 and last 4-5 days. Benton Georgia will be installing a gas line under the railroad tracks and have stated they will be working 24 hours a day on this project when it begins. Emergency vehicles will be able to pass.

• On Monday, June 3, 2024, work will begin at Willowdale Blvd. and U.S. Highway 90 to create a dedicated right-turn lane from Willowdale Blvd. onto eastbound Hwy 90. 

  Northbound Willowdale Blvd. will be closed at E. Heather Drive to Highway 90. Residents must detour by turning left on E. Heather Drive and using Lakewood Drive to access Highway 90. Motorists will be allowed to access Willowdale Blvd. at Highway 90 and proceed southbound. 

  Work on Willowdale Blvd. will take place Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until Monday, August 12, 2024. The northbound roadway will remain closed through the duration of the project, including weekends. 

  Barriere Construction has determined that they will be able to open Willowdale Blvd. to traffic in both directions each evening between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m.

• LA 52 (Paul Maillard Road) from Blueberry Hill Street to Angus Drive in Luling will allow northbound traffic flow only beginning Monday, August 14th, 2023, at 7:00 AM through Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at 6:00 PM, while crews complete utility and reconstruction work on the roadway. LA 52 southbound will be closed at Angus Drive and should be utilized by local traffic only. The detour for this work will be LA 18 (River Road) Westbound to I-310 Southbound to US 90 Eastbound to LA 52 Northbound. This closure will allow vehicles 10 feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction.
