OFFICIALS BREAK GROUND ON NEW DRIVERS LICENSE BUILDING

St. Charles Parish officials and representatives from the state Office of Motor Vehicles Wednesday broke ground on a new drivers license bureau building across from the courthouse in Hahnville.
The St. Charles Parish Council approved at its meeting on Monday night a construction contract with F.J. Arcement Construction Inc. to build the much-needed 1,600-square-foot facility, which should be complete the by end of 2010 or early 2011.

The mission of St. Charles Parish government is to provide high quality, efficient services to sustain and enhance the quality of life for all residents of St. Charles Parish.
