The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to announce its partnership with First Tee – Greater New Orleans, which will bring youth golf to Cypress Lakes Country Club in Destrehan beginning September 8.  

Children ages 5-11 are invited to participate in the youth golf program. There are a limited number of spots for the fall session. Registration is open at www.firstteenola.org. Classes begin on September 8. 

First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, First Tee creates active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. First Tee is Building Game Changers through its junior golf programs. 

First Tee – Greater New Orleans is one of 150 First Tee chapters across the U.S. and select international locations. First Tee reaches kids and teens through programs delivered at 13 golf facilities across the New Orleans area, including St. Charles Parish. The organization offers year-round programming consisting of various classes, clinics, and summer camps.
